1. Service Description
Asset Lifecycle Management is our service for retiring your old IT hardware securely and sustainably. We collect, wipe, and resell or recycle your equipment.
2. The Process
- Collection: We pick up your hardware using secure, GPS-tracked logistics.
- Audit: We scan every serial number and assess the condition.
- Sanitisation: We wipe data using DoD 5220.22-M standards.
- Resale/Recycle: We sell what has value and recycle what doesn't.
- Reporting: You get a Certificate of Destruction and a settlement report.
3. Data Security
3.1. Wiping: All storage media (HDDs, SSDs) are wiped. If a drive fails wiping, it is physically shredded.
3.2. Chain of Custody: We maintain a strict chain of custody from your loading dock to our facility.
3.3. Liability: We carry professional indemnity insurance for data breaches, but our primary defense is our rigorous process.
4. Financials
4.1. Profit Share: If your hardware has resale value, we share the profit with you.
- Revenue: Gross sales price.
- Costs: Logistics, processing, and wiping fees.
- Split: We split the net profit (typically 70/30 or 60/40 depending on volume).
4.2. Costs: If the equipment is junk (e.g., broken printers, CRT monitors), we charge a disposal fee to cover responsible recycling.
5. Environmental
5.1. Zero Landfill: We have a strict zero-landfill policy.
5.2. R2 Certification: Our downstream recycling partners are R2 (Responsible Recycling) certified.
5.3. ESG: We provide data on weight diverted from landfill and CO2 savings for your ESG reporting.
